TriboScan™ - Now Featuring TriboScan Professional

Hysitron TriboScan™TriboScan is a fully integrated nanomechanical data and analysis software package. With seamless integration between hardware configurations and modes of testing and analysis, TriboScan represents the industry benchmark in nanomechanical testing software.

The introduction of a tab-driven user interface in TriboScan allows users to switch easily between any testing mode and between data collection and analysis. The organizational hierarchy of the tab structure creates an easy-to-learn, intuitive interface that allows the user to locate any operation quickly.

TriboScan was developed to increase the productivity and functionality of Hysitron instruments. The most noticeable difference from previous versions is the incorporation of all testing modes and analysis programs within the same software package. This enables all users to easily see when the last system calibrations were performed and which calibrations should be executed.

Building upon the popular open-loop load function editor, TriboScan now uses a similar click-and-modify feedback control load function editor. This allows users to build complex load or displacement controlled load functions for different testing routines.

Using the existing data analysis routines, TriboScan has been developed to increase the usability of the system for users of all familiarity levels and prepare the instrument for the newest and most advanced hardware.

One of the redesigned features of TriboScan is the in-situ SPM imaging tab which now offers the user a simple arrangement of each setting and parameter available during imaging on one screen. All parameters are easily adjusted in real-time. This feature aids in understanding the data output, and ensures site-specific locations for each indentation. The control panel for imaging enables the user to visualize the roughness of the sample and determine the imaging force required without damaging the sample surface.
